The Ruined Z, from new to ruined...and then reborn.
**Warning, many pics in this thread!!!**
Many of you have seen my car after it got messed up by a shop when they used wood screws/drywall screws on my body kit to install it.
But a lot of you don't know the outcome since it was in the repair process for a year.
Here is my car when I bought it.
Bought the car brand new in June, 2007.
Got my first set of wheels, 5 Zigen SC3000 19x8.5 +25, 19x9.5 +25
Lowered on Function / Form coilovers. Got 15mm spacers later, but do not have any pics.
June 2008, I scratched my side skirt pretty bad. So, I decided to get a lip kit.
Saw this pic on Tunerzine.com and became inspired.
September 2008, I bought the lip kit (copy) and decided to help a friend (Johnny aka CrimsonRockett) of a friend (Mike) out by taking it to his shop iDesigns / Import Image in Walnut, CA and give him some business...and that's when my problems began.
12 days later, I got the car back. The install came out like this:
This happened on the same day I got it back from Mike while he was washing it in front of his shop!
Dent in door where he used a floor jack to bend the door so the skirt would fit.
Which had messed up the body line as well:
Wood spacer used to fit the rear lip. Surface of kit wasn't even prepped, so the paint is flexing.
Paint flaking off 2 weeks later.
And the worst part:
Found that damage under the side skirt.
Driver side is the same.
In October 2008, I started spreading the word and pictures on this forum. I was contacted by David at Angry Panda Fabrications in Huntington Beach, CA.
I took the car to them in December, 2008. They decided that repainting the car would be the best option.
In December, 2009, I got the car back and it came out like this:
Decided to go with Work VS-XX, 19x10 -3, 19x11 +0
Lowered on HKS Hypermax III.
Rear shot to show the customized license plate after what happened. Photo taken by itsjdmyo.com at the first SoCal Stance Nation meet this year:
And I just recently go these installed:
Thanks for looking!

Thanks guys!
@VQpoweredZ: I have yet to receive any money yet.
For those who don't know, the shop owes me $5600. I think I'll just get the Sheriff to go over there and get some money for me. I hear it's hit or miss with collections...
