Default Added a few new parts - JWT & Brakes

I got a few parts in from Z-1 Motorsports and after sitting in my office for a few weeks I finally got around to put them all in.

First I did the brakes with the help of my cousin. Rotors are Slotted Z-1 Motorsports and pads are Hawk HPS. I also opted for their SS Lines and ATE Super Blue. I ran into some hiccups...but it worked out in the end. I didnt take many pics but they turned out great. The HPS pads don't have the initial bite as the stock pads...but they feel solid.

A few weeks went by and the weather turned a little cooler outside so I started bugging AcidJake to help me out on the clutch install. And I tell you we couldn't have asked for better weather to work on a car! I think it was mid 70's all morning in TEXAS! What a relief cause the clutch took about 6 hours. The install went buttery smooth though. It was like AcidJake had done a clutch install before or something On to the pictures...

First got the car to monster truck status....

Fast forward a couple hours and the Transmission is on the ground...out with the old...

In with the new..

The engagement on the JWT Clutch/Fly feel perfect. The pedal is a little stiffer than stock but the engagement only took a few minutes to get used to and now I am hooked. And the lighter flywheel feels nice. I can't wait to get this thing broken in a little so I can really test it out.

I am very happy to see the turn out and how quick the install went. I am not surprised since this is his 15th clutch job by now lolz. You will be doing mine for sure sir and we shall have good times knocking that out on the Sedan.

thanks

edit: how many miles on your vehicle currently. Old clutch looks like it still has plenty of life left.

Good Eye. Car only has 49k on the clock. Clutch has been feeling mushy for a while. I got it stuck in my head that I wanted a new one and stuck with it. Jake mentioned the high engagment point could have probably been fixed with a good fluid flush and adjusting the pedal. BUT.....now I got a new clutch and lighter fly so

Forgot to mention the new Redline fluids in the tranny feel great. I have only driven the car 1 day...but my notchy second gear seems to be gone!!

Jake is totally correct that the mushy pedal could be cured with a fluid change and either pedal adjustment or rjm bracket. You could go one step further and get the stainless steel line. Now why do all that when you can get a solid deal on the JWT clutch kit and have ACIDJAKE75 expertise and a solid price to back it up. I do not blame you at all for swapping it out earlier than needed and will gladly take your old heavy crappy clutch and flywheel off your hands
