When the new sig format is implimented sig length will be limited to # of lines, font size, images etc..
You have to understand from both the members and users perspective. Some of the sigs are just annoying in size and displacement not only to me but to others, think about it over 20,000 people visit the site daily, it has to cator to the masses not just a few select people.

I don't know if you have the capabilities, but why try something like this. On another forum I was visiting, it only displayed the signature of a person on they're first post on the thread. If they made anymore posts on the same thread, the signature was automatically disabled.

They are going to be seperated outside of the normal forums, Yeah I know we've been there done that before, but I'm modifying the templates so it will have to be that way from now on..

At one time my signature consisted of 3-4 lines with mods seperated by commas. Then, at some point in time, signatures became restricted to 300 characters. That could have worked, but it became "freakin big" because I could not modify my signature to the 300 character limit until I went to the format which is currently displayed. Do I hate my signature? Yes! Do I think it serves a purpose to list mods? Yes! Will I list them on some "domain" site? No! I can't recall going to a "domain" site in 2+ years of belonging to my350Z to look at other members mods.

The auto login does not seem to remember me, I have to login each time I visit. When I do login the system does not remember what I've already read and what is new from the last time I visited.
