What was the advantage of moving the vendor/private classified sections off of the main forum page? Seemed perfectly fine where it was. Change for the sake of change?

It was just to F**k with all of the old people! Muahahahahahah...

Ok, ok... To make my post worth anything, I guess I need to have some input huh? Ok, the new classifieds are more specific which makes it easier to choose the market for your product. I say, Good Show Ole Chap.

Agreed.....every other forum on earth has classifieds within the topics so they are easy to locate. Putting them in a spot where nobody will find them will just render them much less useful. There's no advantage to trying to re-invent the forum standards that the rest of the world has grown used to.

Now on the otherside of the coin, why do I have to be tip toeing through a forum with a bunch of FS', WTB's, WTT's and Feelers when I'm not even in the market for any of them. When the time does come around that I am in the market for something, all I need to do is go to one location and it is all there for me one right after the other and might even get me a better price on what I am looking for.

.....every other forum on earth has classifieds within the topics O RLY.
Perhaps this might be alittle overstatement. I am on another board where is is set up with the classifieds all in one section and it seems to work fine for all.

Not having the knowledge of what it takes to manage a board of this size I can understand why you are saying this. All I am saying is give it a shot for awhile, you just might like it.

BTW, my350z is not every other forum on earth, it's one of a kind.......

I like where the classifieds are and hope they stay that way/ The less things are cluttered into one big jumbled mess the better.

Maybe deadbeat one-post sellers will not be smart enough to find the classifieds now!

Well, the way it was set up before you would have to actually click something to be able to see the bunch of FS', WTB's, etc...

Is the same as before, but as someone mentioned it just make it harder for possible sellers and buyers to find each other. JMO

So what about if I am never interested in audio/electronic equipment, should it be taken of the main page?

Default Vendor Classifies contain private classifieds

I noticed that in the vendor drivetrain classified section, it is full of private classifieds instead.

Those were all moved in there by Godzilla and are probably there on a temporary basis.

It could be for several reasons. He's building that particualr sub cat up and wanted to put content in there to check it out, clicked to fast and didn't realize it, with all that is going on his brain is cooked by now, he has blisters on his fingers. U pick it but thanks for the 411 on it.

Give it time for things to get settled down. Things need to get debugged as they are found and things need to be tweaked also. Hopefully it will all come together soon. Just be patient, the forums are functioning for the most part and you are able to read posts and communicate in them.

EDIT : Godzilla types faster than me...LOL There u go Sharif@Forged
