BTW, I hate dinuguan!
Not sure if you guys have heard this before.. but it's Brian McKnight singing his original english song "I'm Sorry" in Tagalog. I think he pulled it off pretty well! He gets A++++ on his effort:

you want good healthy food?
like said above, pinakbet is one. dinuguan is not healthy because its very VERY rich in fat.
MOST of our dishes are either high in cholesterol or Sodium content.
here are some that are at least i think is healthy
Grilled Milkfish (inihaw na bangus)
Shrimp with Squash cooked with a bit of shrimp paste (alamang). This requires no water because you have to let the Squash saturate the whole thing and voila, there's your sabaw (soup)
tinola is actually healthy if you know how to cook it without so much salt and that chicken bouillon. USE lots of Ginger and garlic. That's the secret
Sinigang na Hipon can be cooked healthy by cooking it with an actual sampalok for its sour taste instead of that sinigang mix that you can buy from any asian market. Sampalok has lesser amount of sodium in it
IF some of you doesn't know what "La Uya" means, its an ilocano word for beef stew. in order to give its tasty flavor, you have to actually boil the beef with bones which eventually will not require as much salt needed. you can add watercress as one of its vegetables aside from potato.
Adobo is quite hard to make it healthy because it is naturally tasty because of the soy sauce.. i mean lots of soy sauce.. but whatever its good LOL
ps. i think this is my longest post and it has to be about food.. LOL.. I have one hell of a hangover mga PARE! LOL
