Visit Kowloon - take the Star Ferry across the bay for a dime - lots of good shopping just off the pier. I go there to people watch.
If you're there for the weekend take the bus around the far side to the Stanley Market. In downtown there's a small park ... buy I only know where it is by feel. That's were all the maids go on Sunday afternoon on their day off (Phillipinas mostly).
Victoria Peak an hour before to an hour after sunset is a great place to take pictures.

You need to visit Admiralty and the Central area. All the buildings in that area are connected through inner walk ways. Time Square is okay but too many people. Lang Gwai Fong is cool if you are into that sort of stuff. Kowloon is a must see. You should get out the Ocean side or view..can't remember what it is called shopping mall there. It freaking huge!!! I needed a map to get around. Stanley is okay if you have the time but I wouldn't put it on my top ten list. Also, learn to ride the MTR. You'll save yourself lots of time and $$. How long are you going to be there?

dang!! I didn't know some of you guys have been there. Ive only been there once. Im in the navy and we usually end up down town somewhere (don't know the name). I haven't been to the kowloon side yet. Definately will check out stanley park if its close by. We're going to be there for a few days but I just don't want to end up drinking and forgetting what I did that day.

lolol you guys are funny!
We arent suppose to "traffic" human beings (protitution) since its against the UCMJ. I do want to get a tattoo though and take lots of nice scenic pictures. Probably a few souvenirs. I don't want to spend a lot. I want to save some for my hi-flow cats when i get back home. hahah

If you don't have people there who'll take you around I would suggest you get this book:
http://www.amazon.com/Insight-Guide-...3041267&sr=1-1
I went back and read this book after visiting Hong Kong a few times and it was pretty dead on. Also, if you get a chance go eat Dim Sum at this place called Zean. They have this awesome seafood soup which the broth is made from salt water fishes but the fish pieces are fresh water. Cantonese people are very big on soup so this one is top notch. It's in the shopping plaza right when you get off the MTR at Admiralty. It's worth the 1-2 hr wait if you don't have the hookups to get a seat.
