crown, dont even bother taking the car to korea. transportation alone is going to run in excess of $5K (probably more like 10K now), and thats before registration and taxes... if its a used car, you will have a lower tax assesment, but im not too familiar with the actual rate.

Son, you shouldn't. shipping cost is not a big deal(it's only $2000), import tax is the problem unless you are US military personnel. Say 35% of your vehicle cost... Brand new 350z costs $50K in Korea because of this import tax. Back in 2005, when I brought my 2003 350z to South Korea, the total came out to $43K. I paid $8000 for the import tax. Simply put, all import vehicles in Korea is about the double the cost in US.

What? there was a car show? Dang!

There's so much disconnectedness between car enthusiasts among GIs and Korean car enthusiast community... This **** goes down every week... Check them out:

leeboy that is some pretty sick stuff.

I know that this stuff goes down every week, but the problem is I CANT FIND WHERE!!!.

I know how to get to anyplace here in Korea but I dont know where they usally hangout/race. Ive been told that it is usally around Apgujeong and ive been there so many times and all you see are nothing but nice cars.

So do you think you can let the secrete out, where are these places?

Oh btw if your car was at the car show, lamo there would of been no doubt that you would of won.

It's held somewhere near Inchon International airport. It's about an hour away from Seoul. There's no way such race can be held anywhere near Seoul... Seoul is just too densely populated...

The main organizer for this race is www.babodream.co.kr Try to sign up as they provide english version of the website. Once you sign up you can view the message board and find out when and where they are meeting up for a race. Some of them meet up at Apgujeong before taking off to the airport.
Also, as the weather gets cold, you won't see many super cars... They tend to come out only when all the conditions are perfect...

Try to find someone who's proficient at Korean and has a car.
Unfortunately, something came up in my life that requires undivided attention... So, I won't be able to attend such events until next year...
