Question Two questions on subs

Hey guys, first post on the board.

I am building a sub box to fit under the strut bar similar to others seen on here and e-bay. Qestions are, there is no-way to get the needed volume for my two jl's 10W0's(had them lying around). How much will this lessen performance. I am not looking for some competition sound obviously but don't want to waste the time.

Also, I was thinking about counter-sinking the subs into the box and covering the subs with the carpet(totally hidden). Do you think this would damppen it to drastically? Subs will be powered by a jl 500/1.

Thanks.

here is a picture of my box i am building now. i have 2 cubic feet. this box is made for 2 10" MTX 9500's. if i can fit these in the z, you can fit anything. the back has a custom plexiglass panel with some etching in it.

Looks like a good box, but how does it fit in the trunk? It doesnt just slide in from the front to rear does it?

Yes, Exactly it slides in from the front to the rear. Very tight though. I need to take off all the plastics on the strut bar to fit it in.

There shouldn't be any problem with the W0s. If W7s can fit.
