kenwood HU install, Wiring harness needed?

Default kenwood HU install, Wiring harness needed?

hi guys, I am about to do a HU install on my z with the Kenwood KDC-MP825.
Do I NEED the wiring harness or any other options?

You will need a harness if you do not want to cut into the factory harness. If you don't care about that, then you can connect the corresponding cut factory wires to the wires off the kenwood harness.

If your using the 2 pre-outs to amps then you can do like I did with the KDC-x879. You will need to tap into only a few of the stock wires for power, illum, etc..but not too many.
