V1 install, display in mirror
I would LOVE to do that but my rear view mirror recently broke (as in the Ball joint attached to the window cracked due to my stsreo) I discovered it is not CHEAP. The first dealship I went to said they woulnd't cover it (and its $900). I went to a new dealer today that is going to warranty it, so ill be damned if im gunna even touch mine, but nice work!!!!
Anybody have any good ideas on how/where to mount the V1 for this kind of a setup in a Roadster? Right now I've got the custom mount made by MIKE3348 with the 12V tapped off of the back of the mirror.
SunsetZ33, I've got two questions for you:
1. Did you ever get the exact "Sumitomo" Part number for the back part of the Gentex connector?
2. Given a modified V1 external display (modified to already have the color LEDs), something like this http://www.radardetector.net/viewtop...&high%20light= (the one by username lifespeed), would you be able/willing to integrate this into a mirror for the Z?

Nice display!
I've asked lifespeed if he still builds these but he hasn't responded.
Yes I will integrate that display into a Gentex 313 mirror for you.
I don't have a part# for the connector on the circuit board of the mirror.
