iPod Install (w/ Factory Upgraded BOSE)
I got myself a 40gig Apple/HP iPod for Xmas and of course ran out and got myself all the accessories to hook it up to my car!
I went with Belkin for accessories and picked up their TuneDoc which allows me to conveniently store the iPod in the dash cup holder (which by the way is SUCH a perfect location and easily/comfortably accessible from the driver's seat). I also got the car power adapter so that the iPod charges while in use. There's also a built in 3.5mm jack in the power adapter so that it amplifies the volume and allows everything to be digital up to the iPod dock connection. I decided to go against a FM modulator/transmitter for sound quality issues and since I already had a (useless) tape deck in the BOSE headunit, I went with the Belkin tape adapter. I probably would've chosen otherwise, noting the obvious white color, but I'll change that later.
The sound quality is excellent and I'm very pleased with the setup.
I basically bought a $9 Radio Shack extention cord and tucked the cables under the carpeting that runs along the center console. Extremely unnoticable. I think I'll go to Office Depot and look for one of those little cable sleeves (for computers) so that the white cables wont show that drop down by the cup holder.
Enjoy the pics! Comments and suggestions are more than welcome!

have you seen the attachment for the ipod that wireless integrates the audio from the ipod to the any adjacent stereo (boombox or car stereo). its a 1.5 inch piece that connects to the headphone jack and that it. it synchorinzes with the bose system. you should go with that instead of the tape deck because it looks better (wireless) and you can take your ipod into your house and use it with any other stereo. its a great piece for the ipod and would look nice with your setup.

You can use the PAC Audio adapter to connect directly to the Bose HU without a cassette adapter. Sound MUCH better...
