Default Satellite band wagon

I decided to jump onto the Satellite radio band wagon. I'm installing this into the car tomorrow. I'll take suggestions on where to mount the tuner and adapter.

Mount the little tuner antenna on your dash, just behind the three gauges. You will see a small space that the antenna mounts perfectly. Get some 3M double sided adhesive to mount it there. I have absolutely no problems with mine there. I'd take a picture, but it's late. It's also easy to route the wiring there.

i have the older antenna that's a bit bigger and it's in the same place on the dash... it's jammed between the glass and the dash... my only problem is that I'm too lazy to put notch in the dash peice to make the wire come out cleaner... so I get a vibration since the dash peice isn't in all the way. So make sure you make a notch for the wire to come out so you can put your dash peice back on all the way.

I did the stealth install. I placed the antennae under the plastic peice on the rear strut bar. No problems at all. I'll never listen to regular radio again. I'm hooked.

Question...

When you plug the SAT brain into your Ai-NET port does it provide an extra Ai-NET port? What I'm trying to say is...I have an I-pod plugged into my Ai-net port right now and was wondering if I could have both without buying that expensive expansion box.

Yes, the Alpine smart adapter comes with an extra Ai-Net connection to connect your existing Ai-Net device along with the SAT tuner. I have both the SAT tuner and cd changer connected through it. No problems.
