Default question on wiring for 2 amp

I just wanted to know if I add a distribution fuse block to split the power wire into 2 amps will I still need a fuseholder by the battery or a circuit breaker? I currently have a fuse holder for an amp that I was running but im installing another amp. Also will it be fine if I use a 4 guage for the input and 8 gauge for the output on the distrib. block? 1 amp will be runing at 300rms @4ohms and the other amp will be 2 ch. at 150rms@4ohms and the other 2 channels will be brideged a 250rms@4ohms.

Your setup should work fine. I have something similar. I have a Stinger multi-amp wiring kit, and I installed the Stinger fuseholder by the battery with a 150 amp fuse. I ran the 4 AWG cable to a distribution block with two 8 AWG power cables. According to Stinger, this setup should be good for up to 1600 watts of amp power.

ok, so i'll be fine running 8 gauge out of the distribution block? I'll try keeping the 8 gauge as short as possible. What type of fuse holder are you using by the battery?

You absolutley MUST have a fuse no further then 18" from the battery. This is kind of installer basics. AS for the gauging 4 AWG split to two 8 AWGs should be fine. Remeber to fuse the battery breaker high enough. As for the fuse holder and standard inline holder will usually work best...Heres a pic of mine from my old truck.... Keep in mind that your's will no doubt be smaller as I am running a 150 amp fuse due to my amp power requirements (damn high current amps)

And finally heres my power setup inside my new truck..

well I think im gonna need the the same type of fuse holder, my amps need a 60 amp fuse and the other needs an 80 amp fuse. I just wasnt sure weather I should put a 140a circuit breaker since im using a fused distribution block or use a fuse holder with 140a fuse. I've heard the circuit breakers can fail, I thin im just ganna go with a fuse holder with a 140amp fuse since they react quicker then the ciruit breakers.

You'd be surprsied how quickly the Monster breakers work but yeah I would use a fuse.
