Is the sub 4 or 2 ohm?

Im going to guess that amp uses far too few mosfetts or the power supply really sucks.

Your best bet is to buy a 12v DC computer fan and cut a hole in the side of the glove box and hook the positive lead on the fan up to the remote turn on the amp.

This may not help, or It may help. Its what I can come up with short of investing in an amp that measures up to the quality the car said amp is going in.

When you are driving just take the panel off, that helps with cooling, or buy a fan,

I had a Rockford Fosgate Power 1000 and Power 800 and a 3 Farad Cap in there and never had one problem.

I would get a different amp.

(2) alternatives:

(1) Buy an amp fan.

(2) Mount the amp elsewhere.

My PC is in my glovebox and in the summer it can get pretty hot back there. The PC itself has a fan but I cut a few holes in the very back of the box to ventillate a bit. Someone suggested mounting a small fan back there. It could easily be wired to the rear Cig. lighter. I didn't ever need to do it but its not a bad idea.

Finally, someone tried to run a tube from his AC vent under the dash under the center console and into the box to keep it cool. I don't know how that worked but I saw pics of it.

Let me see if I can find them.

His name was Zakira over at Frenzy. Here was his post:

To provide cooling to the glove box, I ran a black 1/2" plastic tubing (like a conduit) from the front HVAC duct through the center tunnel to the glove box (all stealth). But since I didn't want to cut into the stock HVAC duct, and since I didn't want it to be a permanent install (since in the winter you would have heater on and you don't want that sent to the back), I simply stuck the tubing into the HVAC outlet at the bottom of the driver foot well and tucked under the dash plastic (there is room if you feel for it). You can't even notice the install if you didn't know it was there. I still have to test and tweak to get this perfect, though, but it's an idea.

I use a F450 Alpine (glovebox) and after an houre of Pure bass rolling it does shut down for a few seconds, I assume it is the heat..my ohms are correct.

dual 10" Diamond Audio

I am also going to install a PC in the area where the original 10" would go behind the Driver seat
