Default stealthbox

Hi guys, just thought i would share some info and maybe save some people money. I just got my car back from the stereo place. I got the JL Audio Stealthbox installed powered with a JL 500/1 amp. JL component speakers up front and Concept 6.5"s in back powered by a JL 300/4 amp. I can't believe how good this thing sounds! I have always had crazy stereo setups with a minimum of 2 12"s, and this i swear is louder and clearer (i guess b/c it is a hatchback) I will post pics tomorrow when i get home from work. I am really happy with the stealthbox though, especially for the money! Just my opinion before you get a crazy custom sub enclosure made. My friends are all going crazy seeing if they make stealthboxes for their cars! lol

I actually bought the one on ebay, the seller flaked out for some reason and denied my paypal payment. I sent him like 5- 6 emails seeing what the deal is. Im gonna scratch him off as a flake since he denied my payment and hasnt emailed me back, it sucks now that paypal has a temp hold on my funds for 5-6 days. I am now talking to someone for a new one for 500 shipped.

So its $500 for JLSB $350 for a JL amp.

OR

1200ish for a 10w7,amp,Nazar stealth box.

so...im stuck never heard either but there is a $300 differnce.

Anyone help me if its worth geting a single 10w7 over the JL stealth box.

It really depends on what type of bass you like. i would personally would go with a w-7 just because sound quality will be better with proper amp. Now the problem with w-7 is that they need alot of power. I beleive steath box has 2 w-3 which u can get away with running 150-200 watts per woofer. i think the stealth box might give you more bass but w-7 will have better sound quality. now there are alot of factors to mention like if the w-7 will be ported or sealed and location in trunk. good luck bud.best thing to do is go to meets and listen to peoples set ups. i heard the stealth box and i wasnt impressed with sound quality. Im more into stiff hard hitting accurate bass. so most likely i will go with a high quality 12 inch subwoofer with a amp that has a great dampening factor....

everyone has their own taste i guess...i love the stealthbox for bass and even more for sound quality (i have a 500 watt amp mono). keep in mind if u do get the W7 u will need a 1000 Watt amp to make it play like it should, that will make ur amp price jump from about $400 to $800. They are both good choices, I went with the stealthbox because it looks stock and u can't really see it even with the trunk open, unless u actually look underneath the bar...i'm really happy with the setup

you only need a 500/1 for a single 10w7

If I did dual 10w6v2 I would need 1000/1

Stealth box only need 300x2 amp or 500/1 is close enough

My sweet deals I worked out.

Cost difference:

A. stealth $550 + ppi art a600 $225 =
$775 Shipped tax included no warrantee

B.10w7 $375 + JL 500/1 $375 + fiber glass painted box 450= $1200 shipped tax included 1 year warrantee

C.Duel 10w6v2 $525 + 1000/1 $ 675 + fiber glass painted box 450 = $1650 shipped tax included 90 day warrantee

Looks like $400 a upgrade so I guess Ill pick the middle one and have the 10w7 bragging rights and warrantee.

Now if only I could work out a install deal... looks like install on all this plus some other tweaking will be $275 plus tax.

I currently have the Q series MB quarts 6.5 componets in the front...and the 6.5 premium mb quarts midrage in the back speaker bar. I have the a400 art series PPI running the front at 200rms per channel and the a200 PPI art series running the back 6.5's. running 100rms a channel.

Funny thing is those Q's retail for $1200 at car toys...LOL I got em for $450 new.

I have the Kenwood 5.1 processor / center channel and Kenwood DVD indash no monitor deck (forget the model # its a nice deck with crossover retailed for over a grand..i got it for half that new.) I'm the guy that did the first Nav-tv install in 2002 so I got that rig job also with a PS2.

And in 10 days Ill have my single 10w7 in a Nazar under strut fiber glass box painted KYO silver amped by a JL 500/1. Yes I will post pics.

Im gonna get it painted with my next nismo front bumper in 2 weeks...last one got wrecked by nissan dealership having a alignment done....thanks for the new boom nissan.

I should be bumpin by May 1.
