I hope this is the appropriate forum...

I bought a used 2003 touring w/ navigation and I am thinking of upgrading the map disc. I read some threads about it on this forum and I see that the price for a current version is about $180. So:

What is the current version?
Where can I purchase nav DVDs for the 350Z, new or used?
Anyone want to sell me one of theirs (send PM)?

$180 for an upgrade seems a bit steep (read: f'ing ridiculous) so I'll probably want to stay at least one revision behind the curve.

Gonna bump this up as I have the same question. I know if I buy an 03 it wont make a huge difference, but would like to get the latest DVD eventually.

Any comments on this?

I e-mailed Performance Nissan and got this reply:

Hello.
you can purchase the discs from the company listed on the back of the disc case that your dvd disc comes in.

I guess that helps, but I doubt they will sell me an '04 version and I heard that the more recent edition is very expensive.

I know I got a nav dvd for my chrysler from Ebay at about half the price. Unfortunately I haven't seen any for the Z.

I bought a 04 and the nav cd was missing. They just grabbed one from a 06 Titan with nav All the Nissan navs use the same disk.. Work out a deal with the sales guy

Might be what I end up doing. Too bad my dealership is very by-the-bookish.

Got this reply about nav version 6.4 from Zenrin.

Did they mention any cost? Hopefully it won't be any MORE than the already outrageous $200. I'll report back here when I find out after it's released.
