Default switch w3 to w7

If you have a JL stealth box is it posssible to change the 10w3 to some 10w7's. Will it work or should I stick with the w3's.

the w7s won't fit. I think the w6v2 might, just measure the depth of the enclosure. there's enough air space.

W7s require a lot more air and space than a W3. If you are looking for more bang from the same box go for the w6. 10w3 requires .625 cubic ft volume, the 10w6 requires a range of .5 to 1 cubic ft volume. Thus if you currently have a 10w3 you can upgrade to a 10w6. One thing to note is that the 10w6 is slightly deeper when mounted. My custom box (fiberglass and wood) in the factory opening, has enough volume for the 10w6 however is not deep enough to mount the 10w6. I have the new 10w3v3 on the way, hopefully it will work to replace my blown 10w3

to answer any other questions people my have, I am running Factory HU (non-bose) 500/5 JL amp, all 6 speakers replaced with BA don't remember what models.
