Did Search & Still have Questions - Radar
Okay, I read just about every post regarding Radar detectors but I didn't see anything very recent so I need some "fresh" info.
The comparisons I saw reference the V1 and the 8500 and wa about a 50/50 split on performance.
Is the 8500 everyone refers to the same as the 8500 X50? or is the X50 a newer version of the 8500?
I'm having some finish work done tomorrow and am considering having the X50 installed while it's there.
I can't seem to keep my foot out of it so I'm thinking this may be a good idea before I end up with a ticket.
So I know you guys have asked NOT to start a new thread on this subject but.........................
Which one is truely the best? I don't care about costs (to much).

I can't say which is the best only that I've had a V1 for about five years now and it has worked well for me. I enjoy having the ability to know where the radar is coming from and react differently depending. I have mine mounting to the side of my rear view mirror out of my vision of the road.

The 8500 X50 is the new one. I have the regular 8500 (there really is no difference, just some less range) and would have to say it is one of the BEST. The only thing that sucks is that it doesnt have the directional arrows like the v1. This basically means that when the radar goes off i have to look around for the cop, which is kind of a pain...

I just got my V1 with concealed display and its awesome, picks up everything and w/ the concealed display you don't even notice the detectors there. It's awesome, I would post pics but i'm in my lazy phase right now!!! I don't do mornings so maybe later. But from what I hear, V1 owns the Escort anytime, anyday!!!
