good combo with the type r sub?
i finally decided to go with the alpine type r sub 12'. my cousin has one in his car and it sounds really nice and clean. now im not audio expert but can i just buy any amp and just pop in there? if not what would be a good combo for the alpine type r?
Alpine V12 amp.
You do realize that there is no easy place to put a 12"er anywhere in this car ... unless you go fiberglass ... or just want to place a random box somewhere with an upfiring sub.

Is the Type R dual 2ohm or 4ohm?
I currently have two Type R 10's in my car. They are dual 2ohm and I wired them together at 4ohms. I'm running a fosgate 551x amp. Sounds really good, just need to sound deaden the hatch as I'm getting rattles now.

i was planning on installing the sub on those custom corner boxes. but i guess a 12' is to big for it. so i guess ill go with the 10'. haha what are ohm? and what is the difference between the 2ohm and the 4ohm? should i go for the 2ohm or the 4ohm and im only getting one sub. also will it be a good mix with the JL Audio 300/4?
here is my set up. I'm running one 10" R 4 ohm. with the 5 ch alpine. it's loud enough for the car but I want deeper bass. I'm building a box for two 10" (where the spare tire goes and will be flush with the floor) and I;m replacing the alpine with Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1d. I still havent decided on the amp but I'm leaning toward the Alpine 501.
