If it was a buy it now price then it would be scam for 500 bucks. The current bid right now for me is 911.01. If you're not worried about warranty issues then buy from Ebay. If you are then spend the extra money and buy it from an authorized dealer.

Its a scam...DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HIM! The guy has several diff things for the same price. I got him checked out by ebay security when I was about to buy something from him. In order to get that price...you have to email him and then he'll tell you to wire him the money by Western Union and that he cannot do paypal. Its not worth your time..I already went through it. Just take my advice and move on.....Hope that helps

This guy is under several diff names, which are not his by the way. Somehow he is able to hack into other sellers names that have good feedback. I know this bc the guy's ebay name I was dealing with was actually someone else's and the actual guy emailed me telling me not to pay even if I already bid bc its a scam!

I emailed that guy to concerning the Eclipse avn2454, he said he couldn't do Pay Pal, so I offered C.O.D and naturally he declined. I use to work as a Western Union agent and he was trying to tell me that is was safe to do. YEAH RIGHT.
Try www.onlinecarstereo.com they have a good rep, price is 1300.00 The only way I will buy unit for taht price is with PAY Pal verification--coverage upto 1000.00

try the American international kit or metra kit. Alot of members are raving about the American international kit.
MICKEYJ217, The Avic-d1 is not supposed to be able to play DVDs, can it now?

The D1 doesn't play DVD movies but it does have dual slots so you can leave the navigation computer's DVD data disk in and still play CD's/MP3's with the other slot.
The other thing I don't like about the D1 is that there is no voice navigation - and the wife can't operate the navigation computer nor more than she could read a map (she's cute though).
The AVIC N1/N2 have only one slot so you have to put the navigation DVD in to set your navigation route - or stay within the home area - and then pop it out to put the music CD's in. I would just mount a CD changer back aft somewhere ... more wires please
Last night I was so sure I wanted the D1 until I found out it didn't have voice navigation. Darn.

I have the AVIC-N1 and I wouldnt worry much about the D1 not having voice. I usually have my windows down and the voice on the loudest setting cannot be heard over wind noise. Even if you crank up the volume, the voice remains the same, only the music will get louder. With your windows up, it is nice, perfectly clear. It nicely dims down the music, talks to you, then cranks the music back to where it was. A used N1 would be a good deal, I love my N1, have had it for over a year. I have the Pioneer CDX-PD6 hooked upto it so I never have to take the nav disc out.
The nav does work fine without the disc if you are only going within a 25 mile radius. It saves that much in memory so you can remove the disc.
