I just bought a 350z coupe yesterday and I'm trying to figure out if I can salvage any of my old audio stuff from my 92 Civic hatchback. This is what I have
Clarion pro audio 7000 series HU
infinity kappas 5.25" coaxials
infinity kappas 6x9 three ways
fosgate power 2 channel 500 watt amp
pioneer 4 channel 200 watt amp
fosgate capacitor
kicker solobaric L7 10".
The headunit I can easily swap out I assume, the 5.25" I can probably fit in the front speaker area with a bracket? The rear speakers are 6.5"? Any possible way to fit the 6x9 there without making boxes for them? What is the best place to put the amps? And lastly will the L7 fit under the rear strut bar in a custom enclosure? It looks like it'll be close since the L7 is squared.
When I read that the Z has very little trunk space I thought to myself, I dont need trunk space I just plan to throw my audio stuff back there. Little did I know that It won't even fit my tiny box for my L7

You'll have to butcher the rear speaker area to jam a too big 6x9 speaker back there. If you really want to keep them get some boxes to put them in. You'd be better off running with some good quality 6.5" speakers that would fit inside the stock locations.
Ideally you leave the subwoofer to the bass and use the four stock locations for the mid-bass with 6.5" round speakers.
