Eclipse Stereo?
Hello,
I was going to put in an Alpine 7897 headunit and then use the metra kit (which doesn't look that stock/good fitting and is green instead of orange-lit. Anyway, I went to the Eclipse website and wondered what people thought of their stereos? Attached is a pic of an Eclipse headunit and an indash CD changer. Cool! I wonder if it does mp3 - i think the cd changer does but the hu doesn't say anything about it. Anyway, what do you think? GEEZ i wish that Alpine made an indash cd changer. Nakamichi also makes a really nice headunit and indash cd changer and it would match the car perfectly in my opinion and is orange lit but it doesn't do MP3 and that's the main reason I would be upgrading so...
Any ideas or should i just install an Alpine 7897 and be done w/ it?

i like pioneer's options and available products, eclipse's and nakamichi's indash cd changers, but i like alpine headunits the best so i wish alpine would come out w/ these things! also, if alpine had a dvd/nav 1din unit like pioneer had it would be great. then you could get the alpine monitor and it would all be alpine and work great. i don't know. i don't need nav/dvd/monitor or any of that stuff tho - it'd be nice to fill up the other din w/ something usefull tho. anyway, here's the pic i forgot to attach...

Eclipse is a very highly-regarded brand and you can't go wrong with their higher-end stuff like the 7552. I personally don't like the user interface but the features are good. I think Alpine is a better value because of the time alignment and better interface.
