have some of you done this yourself? Does it fit snug into the stock radio space or do i need a custom mount?
I'm thinking of gettin this one or the avic - d1.

Doesn't fit snug. It has a quarter inch extrusion but I can live with it. Plus the silver trim makes it look so stocky.

Take it to an authorized dealer to install unless you want to void your 3 year warranty.

I think I'm going with the avic-d1 now... probably will never watch a dvd anyways. I'm still thinking of doing this install myself so for anyone that got the avic-d1 and did a self install what mounting kit did you buy?

Installation of these units is very simple if you know how wiring works. Easier now because of wiring harnesses. But everything is mapped out. Hardest part will be locating the speed pulse wire. Ask members here or call your Nissan dealer and ask the service tech. Everything else is straight forward.

Also, if you have the Bose system on the touring, you will need to get the Bose interface from Soundgate. (65.00) Goto www.soundgate.com .
