how to organize amp wires
I was wondering how some of you guys go about organizing all of the wires from your amp. I have two amps in the area where the stock sub is supposed to be and right now the seemingly endless lengths of wires is just sitting there in a a tangled mess.
Lots of options here. The wire loom is good but you may have a hard time finding what you want. Another choice is tie wraps. Don't over tighten them, just enough to hold the bundle together. If you want you could get the type that can be removed or the kind that need to be cut off. I don't think that you have to worry about what wires are bundled together.

Do not bundle any of the wires with either the power or ground wire, be sure to keep them seperate from the rca's and turn on wire. If not you could experience all sorts of unwanted noises.

I'll use wire ties, split looming, and cable hold downs to do mine. Use a shielded RCA cable and be done with it - I'd be more concerned about cell phone interference.
There will be cables run from the head end and the battery back aft in a bundle under the console. I'll screw the 4 gauge power wire down with cable hold downs.
I drew this to give me an idea of the wiring requirements. The head end, hide away unit, and CD will all run from the same battery supply - and the same ground distribution point (not drawn on this early version of the drawing). A close good solid ground also helps with reducing interference.
