im trying to get a dvd player for my Z and I was wondering what brand and model are the best for a good price range?(preferably under $1k). Help me out here~

 

jvc kd-avx1. I bought mine for $550 locally, but it can be found cheaper on the net. Great little headunit that has a very sharp 3" screen. I have the video out sending signal to my 7" monitor in the nav cubby. So for under $700 you can have this deck and a 7" screen. This also displays disc information such as artist/album/track, etc....very cool. Play's mp3's loaded on a dvd also, so 4.7gigs of mp3's in your car.

 

Are you still liking that KD-AVX1 parboy? I heard it wont F/F on MP3s..true?

 

I heard that the pioneer avic n1 is pretty good

I still really like the jvc unit. You are correct though, it doesn't FF on mp3's. Not a big deal to me though as the many positive features this deck has far outweighs the negatives.

 

yea i also have the jvc KD-AVX1.... yea you cant F/F but i dont listen to mp3 as much becuase i have my music vid dvd's on 24/7... hehe..... but yea da jvc is good... the lil screen is pretty koo too...

 

I have the kenwood kvt-715 brand new going for 1,200 if your interested, and also kenwood makes good dvd players for the car

 

i have the kendwood ddx 7015. I love it. it plays everything and has a clear screen. i bought it for 900 but it can now be bought for 800 on ebay
