Default Edi Subs

does anyone have any experience with Elemental Design Subs

I was thinking of going with these:

http://edesignaudio.com/product.php?...pid=13&cur=USD

but am trying to decide how to run it. my goals are def sound quality over output. i want something that is very clear and precise but at the same time it has to have some amount of kick to it! i have edi 6500s up front and infinity reference 6012's out back and it sounds really clear but is missing that kick to it

i was thinking of going with 2 of the subs above and running them at 1 ohm (600 watts each) and running it all off a nine.1 (1200x1) think that would be too much bass for my goals or will that sound ok?
i was planning on putting them in an ebay box also..

thanks

too much bass, 1200 watts in the z is WAY over kill. I"m running my 13Ov.2 sealed with gains on my nine.1 set to 1/2 at 2 Ohms, and I gotta keep it down alot.
I had the same goals as you, great sound, but with a little bit of kick to it.
The nine.1 13ov.2 combo (turned down a bit) is just about perfect with ton's of headroom, I can always turn up the gains a bit or put it in a ported box and it'll get LOUD.

pics of my setup are here http://www.icixsound.com/vb/icixnati...do=view&id=757

this is true.

i went with nine.1 and 2 11ov.2s wired at 1ohm.
im running the nine.1 at 1/4 gain, and sub output on my alpine 9855 at 10.

you should be fine with just 1 ten.

if your going to be running it at 4 ohm just get the nine.2. I'd probably go for the nine.1 @ 2 ohm and turn the gains down, head room is good

Another option is to wait until ed come's out with it's Nine.2X, http://www.icixsound.com/vb/showthre...2&page=1&pp=10
