Default Park SW - DDX7017 Help

I finished my install, all went well except for one thing. I have a manual 6-speed, and I did not think that I needed to connect the park sw cable. Now I cannot view any video on the screen. When I put a DVD in I can hear the music, and even go to the different chapters, but see no video. Can any of you tell me where to connect this cable, or is there a way that I can override it?

Ground the wire, that will take care of the issue. You can actually have the video going while driving. Not the safest thing, but good for long trips.

I did that and it worked perfectly. Now if I could only get rid of the engine whine noise... I checked and re-did the ground three different times, and still no change. Anybody know a good fix for this?

Have you tried not using the factory radio ground and running your own ground? That usually clears it up.

Well, I just grounded the 3 ground wires that are behind the head unit back to a metal part behind the head unit mount, and the amplifier ground is connected to the body under the subwoofer box in the back. I did use a dremel and make sure that they are clean connections, but I still get a crazy loud whine.

Do you mean from each individual speaker, or from the head unit?
