Did you check if the rattle was coming from your licence plate, or maybe one of the ribet/popper things is loose? I also have one 10", with the under the strut box, i havent notice a since rattle yet... I haven't even dynomated it yet.

Check the breaklight on the hatch. Mine rattles like an SOB, if you find a good way to stop it, let me know.

I just sound dampening for the rear and I still have rattle... By elimination hatch opened and hatch closed... It only rattles when the hatched is closed... Knowing this I found out that it was the hatch plastic finisher... I tried foam - that didnt work... So I decided to apply some dampening material (about 0.25 on an inch from the edge of the panel... It worked great... Also I removed the "rubber flaps" (the ones attached to the vents) on both the left and right side of the car...

Check 2 places & ensure everything is secure:

[1] Check the area where your jack is located.
[2] Check the area where your spare tire is located.

I was able to get the 3rd brake light to stop rattling. I took it off and used a couple small pieces of thin black foam/cushion like material. I just cut it in small strips and superglued it down the sides and a couple spots along the edge. It isn't noticeable at all after putting it back in. It already had a rubber gasket strip along the whole edge, but that sure didn't help any.

Those little flap things on each rear corner of the car make alot of noise in my car as well. I'll probably wind up pulling them off today as well if they still make noise after I finish the trim panels on my install.

They are vents to let out the air pressure when you close the doors.

I bought a small tube of clear RTV silicone at PepBoys. Took the plastic brake light assembly off. Using the extension tube, that comes with the silicone, I coated the outer edge of the brake light panel with a very thin/straight coat of silicone. When you reattach it, you only get one shot to get it right. If you move it, it'll smear the silicone everywhere. I took my shoes off and jumped inside the trunk, fastened that light, and voila- finished. No more rattle.

I've seen those vents, but not too sure what good it does to remove those.

So as far as rattles go, what main areas should be really dynamatted in order to reduce or eliminate rattle? I'm really a noob when it comes to sound deadening. I'm assuming the brake light for sure, but what else?

Reason I ask is b/c my enclosure is going to house a single 12, and I wont be able to take it out once its installed.

thansk!

^^ I applied 1 layer of Dyno and 1 layer of spray in bedliner. Works pretty good. Covers entire trunk.

Dont forget the rubber vent flaps... Lets see... The antenna box... You will know what it is when you take your panels off... I put a layer behind that... Thats it (well thats all I dampened)... The only rattle that I have left is the hatch panel...

They are in the very rear corners of the trunk. They are behind the black foam pieces in the corners. It's just a plastic piece with 3 rectangular holes that has a small piece of fabric covering it. When the doors shut, or if airbags deploy, it vents the pressure out of the cabin of the car. But when the bass hits from your system, the fabric cover piece flaps and makes noise.

I finished my trim panels up Wednesday, and with those in place, I don't hear the flapping sound from those vents anymore.
