OEM WOOFER for 350z - Pls help
Where can I get a Original Woofer setup for the 350z? I would like to add one to my car, but don't want to sacrifice space of the trunk, as I am a golfer and need to put my clubs in the trunk too.
i saw a picture in this forum where the woofer sits in the corner of the trunk. My car comes with the BOSE system, but apparently, according with the dealer, it does not have a woofer. I have not seen the car, only pictures from their website.
Anyone can help me out?
Thanks,
Dennis (04350zTouring)

if I change just head unit will BOSE WORK? is it decent sound you know?
Thanks.
The Bose woofer blows.

This is a un-retouched photograph showing the Bose next to a mid-price mid-quality Infinity woofer. That big thing sitting between them is part of the Infinity - not the missing magnet from the Bose!
I would rather see you buy the frame and speaker grill and mount an aftermarket "free air" woofer in there. A normal woofer is meant to be hung inside a box. The trapped air inside the box acts as a spring to help control the woofer. A free air woofer has different mechnanical construction to allow it to work outside a box.
You should be able to buy a frame from someone here pretty cheap, the speaker grill on line or from your dealer, and the woofer from any good stereo shop on-line too.

Best way to tell is look behind your driver seat.. The cover of your cubby will either have a speaker grill that says Bose on it...or will be a big blank piece of plastic. Either way..my advice would be replace as much of it (Bose or not) as you can. The picture above should give you a very good idea of the quality of any stock 350z stereo equipment.
