Question sub location under strut bar facing up at it.

will this effect the sound i used to have just a box sitting in the spare tires spot while the car was apart. now im looking to finish up and give it a clean instail. will i have any deminish is sound quality if i locati the sub pointing up at the bottom of the strut bar.

Building the f/g enclosure will be tricky. You want to get the height of the FG + MDF top perfect to fit under the fake floor. And Many 12" subs will be too deep to fit so you will likely need to use an additional ring of MDF to raise the driver a bit. But after all is said and done, it is very possible to get the thing close to flush mounted with the thick carpet in the back. Look into MB Quart reference subs, they are shallow and produce a lot of kick.

i already have an alpine type-r and its got a huge magnet on the back
but i only have to rase the floor about an inch and then i will slop it back down and make a grill to cover the sub.

I have my basslink II mounted under the rear strut, firing upwards and it sounds great.
