Here is the factory 2005 XM tuner.

I was able to use my factory pre-installed antenna with my Pioneer XM tuner.

This antenna is supposed to be better than any aftermarket antenna since its connected to the frame of the car.

I mounted the GPS antenna on the right corner of the dash.

I cut down my trim piece with 100 grit sandpaper to get the perfect fit.

Rockford amp which will power 2 Rockford subs.

I know I dont have any trunk space, but I never use my trunk anyway's.

Secret hack on how to bypass the GYRO lock. You can now watch video and operate NAV while driving:
_______________________________________________

Hopefully you didn't use every wire on the Pioneer wire harness. Find the wire you didn't use, and just pull it out of the harness.

I used the auto mute lead wire. After you pull it out, you will see that the wire has a connector on the end like this...

There is 1 empty slot on the harness next to the ground wire.

Insert this wire into that slot. You should feel it "click" into place...

Ground this wire and the E-brake wire and you're good to go!!

Are they making an install kit for the G35 now that replaces the oem that has all the buttons cut out on it? What install kit is it?

You still need an external DVD player. The lockout bypass is just to let you watch video while driving. The lockout bypass will not make it play DVD movies.

This is the OEM dash and A/C controller for the Nissan Skyline. I had to special order it from Nissan Japan.

Great installation....VERY clean. I don't like the subs in the trunk idea ... but its useless otherwise anyways, lol, so why not

So did that trim piece that you sanded come with the Double Din conversion?

I ask because I just recieved my D1 yesterday, and I am going to need a trim piece for my Z.

Please let me know of the name brand and where you bought it, if it didn't come with the kit.

Thanks man,

Jim
