Default amp wire size

so everything is finally coming together. I'm just putting some finishing touches on my system, but now I find that my 4awg power/grnd won't fit into the amp clasps? The amps seem to fit only 8awg or less for power/grnd!Any suggestions that'll let me keep 4awg to power these amps, but somehow make it fit?

Use a power distibution block that takes 4 ga. in and provides multiple 8 ga. outputs ... you'll be ready for that second amplifier!

$5.85 P3 GOLD DISTRIBUTION BLOCK 1x4

P3 distribution blocks are precisely machined from solid brass for best power transfer, and then plated with your choice of gold or simulated platinum finishes for long-lasting good looks. They are mounted on an insulating plastic base and have a removable, clear protective cover. Set-screw style wire terminations. Dimensions: Overall: 2-7/8" W x 1-1/8" H, Block: 1-3/4" x 5/8".

* Finish: Gold plated
* Input: 4 ga. x 1
* Output: 8 ga. x 4

They sell a bunch of different kinds. I went with one that has fuses in it like this one for $14.80

Yeah, go with a fused distribution block! They rock, and provide protection for your fuse mounted under the hood (which may or may not be a good thing). Also, if you ever decide to add a cap you have a really good place to do so!
