"In one point three miles turn right"

...

"in one hundred feet turn right"

Depending on how fast you're going she gives you more warning. I have it set for two warnings so I get a pre-warning so I can get out of the fast lane and then a warning indicating the exact exit to take. Here in Los Angeles you can have two or even three exits nut to butt so it's sometimes hard to tell. The navigation always gets it right (so far).

There's a setting IIRC that either prompts you just at the corner or gives you a second warning well prior. You can also have the screen remain as it is traveling the map or give you a close up pre-view of the corner.
