Is a jl 1000/1 too much for a 10w7?

If you turn the gains all the way up, then yeah, it might be. Just keep the gains at a good level. The W7 with the 1000/1 amp will be killer

If you already have it, use it. If not, 500/1 would be the choice.

Instead of doing a 10w7, look into their 13w7. My friend has one of those in a ported box and i've never heard of one sub that pounds that hard.

*drool*. The 13w7 in a Z would like....make your ears bleed or something. lol.

Do you think doing one 13 is a better choice then 2 10"s?

absolutey not, do 2 10w7's. Its sounds great and you can still keep your trunk. If you wanna setup that takes all your trunk space then setup a 13". But the 2 10's will give you quite the eargasm.
