Default Who Is Using A Pac AAI-NIS Adapter On Their Bose System?

I just recently has the new clarion n.i.c.e. system installed using the factory bose system. We used the PAC AAI-NIS, and while the sound quality is much better than FM modulator, the quality is not what I expected. The higher frequencies are distorting in the tweeters and the bass output has strangly increase to a level that distorts as well. The install shop is blaming it on the adapter saying that it is an "analog device and some quality will be lost."

What have your experiences been with this adapter?

I have it w/ my Bose system (SAT ready) & is definitely a BIG difference from my initial FM modulator set up. The digital sound is now CD quality vs. FM sound.
