Default Alpine Type R

I was thinking of purchasing these components to replace either the door or rear speakers. Was wondering if these speakers would even fit in the doors? If not could I just put them behind the seats? Also does anyone have any experience with these speakers? Any input would be great since I don't know anything about systems.

they will definitely fit. you will need a spacer to help the magnet from hitting the window. i have the type x components and they cleared with a spacer. as for the quality, couldnt tell you, but the type x are amazing with Alpine's new 5 channel surround sound amp and the right settings.

I have those alpines man and I would say stay away. I hate mine, and I am going to replace them with some CDT's tonight.

and FWIW I had a ***** of a time getting them to fit right. I tried making eighteen different spacers and never could get it right, had to end up buying door pods.

Thats my experience though, but you want opinions, so my opinion is....go with something else.
