What area rattles the most?
I'm painting in eDead V3 sound deadener and it doesn't seem to be helping...i'm getting my amp moved from my trunk to the cubby behind the passenger seat so that i can get to the spare tire (long story)...so i haven't painted it in the spare tire well yet...is that the place that is the main source of the rattling?...what experiences have other people had when they deadened their trunks?...thanks
Nothing should rattle.
Anywhere.
Rattle is caused by loose parts bumping not loose parts. All your wiring should be held in place with wire looms, wire ties and stand-offs. Speakers and amplifiers ought to be firmly screwed into place with lock washers on the screws/bolts. Holes need to be the correct size for the screws to bite in ... and remember the gas tank is behind the cubbys!
I did fatmat my entire trunk area with a layer and put two layers over the wheel well areas front and back. That took out lots and lots of noise. While driving I don't hear that "tink tink" of the tiny rocks on the road bouncing off the inside of the wheel wells.

My doors used to rattle. Very, very annoying. I went to the local arts & crafts store and bought some batting and installed it in my doors. That was a great help but I still have the sound of my door speakers hitting the door panels. I'm going to need to get those speaker pods to stop that.
