Audio Question
I'm thinking about getting a 350Z and i was wondering how much space there is for audio equipment (how many subs, what kind of boxes...etc). I have 2 treo 12s in a ported box, but it doesnt look like that would fit according to the pictures iv seen. That little bar that goes across the trunk looks like it would get in the way...anyways, i would probably just get 1 12 if that was the case.

Don't listen to the old fart, it doesn't matter what your car is you can still build the ultimate sound system. If your hell bent on sticking a 12 in there you can make your spare tire well into an enclosure, or save space and stick 2-3 10's under the strutbar. If thats not enough you can also get the 6,5 inch powerhouse subs that replace door speakers. Building audio systems is my only hobby, I wish I could make it my career. :P

If the "old fart" comment was directed at me I was laughing at the comment not the original intent of the question. I appreciated the humor.
There was a tread last weekend about the top ten modifications to the Z - there there three camps: horsepower, audio wattage, and looks. The cool thing about the car is that it can be modified in all three ways often to the exclusion of the other two areas. The horsepower crowd strips out their speakers, headend, and everything else that's going to slow them down. On the other hand I've added 75 pounds worth of fatmat sound proofing and spent $3000 on audio/video gear for it. The body kits make a car look better but lower aerodynamics and often add more weight than the OEM parts.
If the poster thinks that he can still hear the extra 2-3 Hz a 12" might give him in a car then more power to him and all the luck in the world. Cut out that little bar thingy and toss a twin 12" box in the hole created.
