Default Metra Kit Question

Hope you guys can help me out. I see most of you with the Metra Kit are using the ISO faceplate. My question is how did you make this work with just a single din HU? Anyways to use the ISO kit and have the pocket underneath as well? Thanks in advance!

I bought both the Metra and American Internation kits and sent the AI back because the Metra was stronger and better designed. I used the included coin pocket under my single DIN head end.

When I had my single din head unit, I didn't use the faceplate. IIRC, it didn't fit.

No, i'm talking bout the metra kit. my cars in the shop now and they're pissin me off. The metra kit comes with 2 face plates, one single din with pocket and the other is the ISO mount for dual din. I see other members on there with a single din hu and using the dual din faceplate. Just wondering how its done.

I hear what your saying. The Metra kit comes with the entire setup. It gives you the ability to leave the bottom pocket out and just use the DD faceplate. This is for people that want to use an EQ also. I'm not sure how the set up goes, but I'd imagine you'd have to use those plastic brackets that come with the kit to attach the HU to the frame of the car. I used the single din configuration like Paul did personally.

Thanks! I got the single din configuration now also. But the double din faceplate looks much better from what i see from other members. Anyone else out there with the double din setup that would like to share?
