I wanna be able to play MP3s, so i need to buy a new deck. I also want it to support satellite radio, and enable me to eventually hook up a display, nav, etc. So what exactly am i looking for? Does it have to play DVDs, or will the computer (which i'm assumingly gonna have to get for nav?) gonna take care of that?

Watch out for the Alpine 9855. It has the Glidetouch interface which people either love or hate.

 

Go with the 9855...it has amazing features. All you mentioned and more. Plus, it matches the interior lighting as well.
