IPOD-aux input device questions
I have read all of the old posts regarding the aux input devices and am still a little confused. Was hoping those that have done it can provide me some clarification. I have an 05 touring with BOSE, 6 disc in dash changer, no SAT.
1)Is the correct aux device for my set up the AAI-NIS unit from Pac-Audio?
2) Once connected to the back of the HU, will it be controlled by the radio button or the CD button (I have seen msgs on this board saying both). If it connects to the CD output will I lose the use of the in dash CD changer?
3) does the AAI-NIS unit come with good instructions on how to hook it up- was it difficult to get it to work, or pretty straight foward?
4) with the AAI-NIS unit work specifically with the NANO or only the regular IPOD.
thanks!

1. The Head unit has to be Sat ready to use the AAI-NIS. If you have an "AM/FM" Button then it is SAT ready. If you have a "RADIO" button it is not Sat ready.
2. The AAI-NIS does not controll the IPOD via the Head unit at all. It only creates an Aux input into the radio. You still have to use the controls on the IPOD.
3. Very easy install. Plugs directly into the back of the Head Unit via the Sat connector.
4. The AAI-NIS will work with any IPOD. You'll have to get a Mini Stereo to RCA cable and plug into the Headphone jack on the IPOD. readily Available in any electronic store.
