Ok this is my situation I bought a Farenheit 7000 lcd screen to view the dvd, and ps2. i didnt want a flip out screen so i have been looking for a in-dash unit that plays mp3s dvds ect... i found a few and i was wondering if you guys here have any experience with any of the units that i list under... if there are any others that you know of please give me the name and price.

Farenheit 7000 lcd screen, is that a good screen ? I seen picture of it installed and it looks good. Let me know if others recommend this screen . Im thinking of getting it myself.

im looking at this one. alpine dva-5210. ill be using ferenheit screen too.
im going with alpine mainly because i already have alpine head unit 9855.

depends on waht you mean by BEST.

in terms of dvd playing quality, they are all relatively the same. the 5100 only has one set of rca out, whcih is not the best for building a bigger system down the road.

the avix1 is by far the most flashy with its little screen and works pretty well (i have isntalled about 8 of them so far), but it is expensive and if you dont care about the graphics, the 6160 is a perfectly fine unit to go wtih.

the sony also works fine but from a recent historical perspective, i would personally stay way from sony becuase of reliatlbity issues.

alpine and pioneer also makes good in dash dvd players, you should check them out.

out of all the ones i have installed, i would say this:

1. best bang for hte buck kvc kd adv 6160
2. bets features and graphics and coolness, jvc avx1
3. best all around balanced: the pioneer unit (forgot the model number)

the alpine is good i am sure but i dont have much experience with it beside looking at it...
