Default XM - Installed SkyFi2 - question on tape adapter

Since I plan on it being a short term install, I dont mind having to use the tape adapter as I have it installed. Question is, sometimes the tape adapter flips sides after maybe five minutes or so, but then other times I dont notice it flipping at all. Anyone else had this issue, or am I imagining it?

Otherwise, I love XM. Had it for a few weeks now and cant imagine how I commuted without it. Have a 6 hour drive coming up this weekend to Myrtle Beach and am thrilled at having to drive!

I just installed my Roady XT XM radio and just use the 88.7 fm radio channel. No problems.

That was fine for me day to day, but on road trips, I've found this impossible at least so far and had the same issues with my Ipod. Just hate every hour or so, or when you pass through a big city, having to tweak the station as the signal comes and goes.
