lilliput non vga screen and xbox
hey guys i just started installing a screen and xbox in my Z and i have a few questions
1) I powered my screen by running the pos and ground wires to the rear cigg lighter. I also plugged in my power inverter into the same socket. Is this ok to do or is it bad for the car?
2) Can i hardwire the inverter inline into the rear cig with the screen?
3)I havent put in any fuses yet and what fuses should i use for the power interver and the screen.
ill have pics up soon

The rear power outlet will run a few amps. If your power inverter is just for your Xbox which draws just a few amps you'll do fine. Worst thing that you'll do is pop the factory fuse.
The screen probably draws less than an amp. The inverter depends on how big it is - 80 watts or 300 watts - big difference. Watts divided by volts (13.6) = amps. You can hardwire everything but then I would recommend running a cable from the battery, to a fuse, through the firewall, and then to the back area.

thanks paul...its a 200watt inverter that will only power my xbox
ill try and wire it all up and see if the fuse blows if not then
also i have a fm modulater thats powered by 2 aaa batteries...is there a way to hard wire that to the cig lighter?
