I am looking for a company that makes a dash install kit for an aftermarket head unit for the 06Z. I was told that the one from Scosche, although advertised for the 03 and up Z, does not fit in the 06. Does anyone know of any other companies out there that makes a kit that will not only bolt in, but fit correctly? Thanks.

I talked to my sales rep from Metra today and he told me its still not out yet. I will post when they are available.

yeah the metra is still on TBA status. they dont have an ETA on it yet but ill let you 06 guys know when it comes out.

 

American International?

 

I have the American International kit... and well.. it doesn't seem to quite fit right in the opening.. at 1st I thought i just needed to take it back apart and tweak it a bit, but if they've changed it.. well, there went $17 out the window

 

American INternational is nicer stuff, but they're usually much slower to market than Metra. I'd keep an eye on Metra....I'm actually surprised it's taken them this long to get the kit out. I'd expect it any time.

I used an 03-05 and with a dremel got it to fit pretty nicely. Filled the bottom with a little piece of black foam and trimmed it to fit. It actually doesn't look 1/2 bad. I figure why wait till the '06 comes out...I'll just replace the dash kit whenever it comes out, I want my stereo NOW!

Tony over at Perfomance Nissan told me he has a possible line on a dash kit for the 06.

I'll post any info I get.
