Default Can the factory NAV be setup to play DVDs?

I was wondering if there's a trick to getting it to play DVDs or if the stock unit is swappable with a true DVD player and is still capable of running the NAV system? I'd like to get a DVD/MP3 player in there with the NAV being a bonus. Appreciate any info.

This topic has been discussed in these forums several times...but to answer you, no...

There is currently no way to play DVD's on the factory nav system. I have my system upgraded to accept 2 extra video inputs, and 1 of these is my PS2, but its not a cheap upgrade. RIght now, an aftermarket black box device is the only way of getting around this, unless someone figures out how to hack the Nissan nav system....
