A few tips on installing the 7" Farenheit
..and other randam ramblings.
Thanks for the dash removal post Scafremon. Excellent.

If you own an automatic trans(you have to modify the first few steps)....skip scafremon pictures 2-4.
1) Pull the emergency brakes!
2) Shift the shifter into drive.
3) Use a taped flathead screw driver and lift the ring console finisher (silver ring out around the shifter) from the front. There are 4 metal clips under the metal ring. Comes out pretty easy.
4) Lift off the big console finisher (air conditioning control piece) from the front with same taped flat screwdriver. This one also has clips. This one on mine was initially pretty stubborn. Had to use two screwdriver. Make sure you have a taped driver so you don't damage the finisher.
5) Remove wire harness for the air conditioning unit and set the console finisher aside.
6) Continue at picture 6 in Scafremon picture series.
The stereo wire harness do not have to be removed. I installed the monitor right there at the car.
For mounting, industrial strength double stick tape worked good... it's not going anywhere.
- I cut thin strips for the front (top and sides only). There's only a thin piece of plastic on the bottom front face and tape would do no good. Taped it on the monitor.
-Also used thicker strip of tape (1/2") on top of monitor.
-The side of the case fit snug around the monitor. No tape can be installed there.
**Leave protection on other side of tape, test fit the unit. Make sure none of the tape shows through. And you are satisfy with the appearance.
-peel and install then check appearance again.
-make sure to plug in everything you need to plug in (FM Modulator, rca video, etc). I ran mine up up into an opening on the passenger side of the center console.
The hardest part of the install was putting the screws back into the case. *Make sure you have a magnetic tip screw driver or you will pull all your hair out.*
Of course put car back into park and drop the emergencey brake when you are finished.
I'm really happy with the appearance
Other rambling...
There is two open plugs on the back of the Bose HU. Don't know what they are for. The wires harness goes into the top roll of plugs different from the non-bose. Also, the antenna plug is on the right side.
Didn't have a camera on me so I could take pictures. Sorry.

You're very welcome abz. Glad to see it was of some use.
Even though I returned my Farenheit (only because I wasn't ready yet for the rest of the installation), I'm tempted to buy another and install it, if only because it fits so well in the opening!

I'm using the cigarette outlet.
Ran a power cable under the door sill trim and under the dash to front. It splits out and feed the LCD and FM modulator.

I have a tv tuner now and will add a computer soon for mp3, gps, music videos, movies, games, etc. I'll see what I can do about pictures when I get the computer case problem solved.
