there is no cdchanger button per se in the non-bose stock headunit. It says CD PLAYER only, but when the USA SPEC is connected, you can push that CD PLAYER button twice and the radio will reveal a CD CHANGER mode that you could not access before.

think about it.. what the heck are those 1-6 buttons on the bottom for? 6 AM/FM presets maybe... but that's boring. 6 buttons are more exciting on a 6 disc CD changer (or even better, an ipod with 6 playlists!)

I have one for sell if you want.

PM price, I'm still up in the air whether to replace the HU or try to adapt it somehow for an Aux in or two :P .

Thanks for the info btw.

I think im in the same boat. I tried this a long time ago and gave up. I ended up using the stupid tape player to play my music. Still got the PAC tho. I am at my desk now so I am trying to figure out if mine says radio or am/fm. SO frustrating.

I read as much as I could and did as much research as I could find and eventually came to the conclusion the only way to know for sure if the adapter unit would work with my stereo was to pull the head unit out of the dash and take a look at the back of it. See the post elsewhere in (I think) this thread on what you need to look for on the back of the unit.
