Default Need Help Installing A Subwoofer

I have an Image Dynamics 10" subwoofer I wish to install as part of a stereo upgrade. My '05 Enthusiast does not have the bose system, so I ordered the speaker panel and grill for behind the drivers seat. My problem is the speaker panel is designed for a 12" sub. Any suggestions on mounting the 10" sub in the panel?? I was thinking I could have a metal ring made that the sub will mount to and the the ring could be bolted to the panel. Sound good?? any other ideas?? Thanks for the help!!

you cant just install a big sub into there... its not an enclosed space so it will sound horrible.

I could have sworn that my 05 base had a 10" bracket in the cubby hole..... My sub is under the strut bar, I used the cubby hole for the amp.

What would you suggest?? I've heard crumpled paper placed behind the sub helps. Any truth to that?? I really want a clean look to my install with everything hidden. Thanks for your help.

Just from past experiences the stock behind the seat location is a horrible spot for a subwoofer in a fastback. You either want to cornor load or rear fire the subwoofer.
