3 way setup question
has anyone tried to run either a 3 way setup and using the reaer speaker location for the midwoofer and installing the midrange in the door?
or anyone have a comp set in the door and running midbass in the rear?
curious what kind of effect this would have since
A:the speakers are right behind your head and
B:the distance between the midwoofer and midrange/tweet
any thoughts/opinions/actual experience?

anyhting thoughts about running a three way set up involving the REAR stock location should be instantly extinguished...
in one word, it will sound HORRIBLE, with the midbass coming from the back and the rest of hte freq coming from the front, i dont even know how to describe that
but i have done a 3 way set up in a Z wtih great results.
midbass sealed in the door, midrange and tweet molded into kick panels...that is honestly the only way i would do a 3 way set up in a Z

Have you ever thought about an A-Pillar install? www.innovativerides.com did this tweeter install on a my350z.com member's car. I know for sure that a DLS 3-way setup with its 2.5" midrange would fit in the A-pillar along with the tweeter, mainly because that same shop is doing it on another Z right now. I guess it could be an option for you?
